Laser micromachining is not just about the economical production of very small components. Rather, the high-precision and gentle processing of sensitive products and materials also plays a decisive role when it comes to quality criteria in medical technology, microelectronics or the jewelry industry. For example, the quality or burr-free cutting edges are usually just as important as the output quantity.

The LLT.micro combines modularity and technologies to master these challenges. The compact system combines positioning accuracies of up to ± 3 µm and highly dynamic direct drives with efficient fiber lasers and gentle ultrashort pulse lasers.

Regardless of the specific area in question, solid machine solutions are required in typical industrial manufacturing environments. Laser precision machining is no different. However, the equally high demands on the robustness of the production equipment and the accuracy of the processing results mark a special feature. Added to this is the required cost-effectiveness of the technology used.

The LLT.preci offers a proven machine concept that meets the highest demands. By supplementing the fiber laser with scanner optics, the 3-axis basic machine can work simultaneously with up to seven axes if required. The already generously dimensioned processing area can be scaled up to 500 mm x 500 mm x 300 mm depending on the customer’s specific requirements, despite its compact external dimensions.

The challenges in the production and processing of precision tubes are manifold. In particular, high-tech industries such as medical technology, sensor technology and optics expect not only high precision requirements but also the gentle handling of sensitive and cost-intensive materials, such as in the case of stents or hypotubes.

The LLT.tube was developed to meet precisely these expectations. Thanks to the use of an ultrashort pulse laser, the heat-affected zone and the associated thermal load on the material are just as minimal as the feasible dimensions of the cutting or drilling contours. The material retains the desired properties and residues in the form of molten material are avoided.
